POSITION FILLED
Senior Veterinary Surgeon required for busy 2 site small animal practice in South Yorkshire/ North Derbyshire
Croft Veterinary Centres is an independent veterinary clinic and we are looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join our small but dedicated team of 4 vets, 4 nurses and 3 support staff working over two small animal clinics on the South Yorkshire/North Derbyshire border.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable with all aspects of routine small animal work, ideally with a surgical bias, and who is also happy to take a lead role within the practice in supporting their fellow vets and also the responsibility of some management tasks with the full support of an experienced senior nursing team.
We have two clinics that you will need to work between, but we can accommodate a rota that will suit you. Our practice in Sheffield is in the suburb of Dore, on the south of the city. Our clients here are friendly, dedicated and always keen to provide the best care for their pets. Our clinic in Bolsover is the only veterinary practice in this small market town and again we have a great relationship with our clients. In addition, we are soon to relocate in Bolsover to a brand new, purpose-built clinic.
Our standard working week is 40 hours in a four day week and one in three Saturday mornings. We currently out-source our out-of-hours but are planning to take it back in the near future to provide our clients with the best possible service. However, we believe in a great work-life balance so will ensure a good amount of time off to compensate, and you will be able to have input into this as we move forward!
Our clinics have all the usual facilities and equipment but at our Sheffield branch we also have a laparoscopy kit, and if you would like to learn how to use this we will provide all the support and training you need.
We would love for you to come and join us in this great part of the world! We have the Peak District on our doorstep but also the great city of Sheffield is right here as well. Our team is young but with a good level of experience across our vets and our nurses and we are keen to push our clinic forward and are always open to new ideas and initiatives.
This is the ideal role for someone who is passionate about small animal first opinion practice and surgery but who is also keen to expand their skills in areas of people and practice management.
The salary is £40 – £60,000 in addition to funded CPD (no budget provided you can justify it!), RCVS membership fees, 25 days holidays plus bank holidays.
If you would like to find out more give us a call on (0114) 2621444 and ask for either Jemma or Tamara or send your CV and contact details to croftrecruitment@yahoo.com and if you would like to chat to one of our vet team for an unadulterated opinion, that is no problem!
