Mass Bravery award

Everyone meet Mass! He’s a Croft super star ⭐

Mass is our latest pet to be given a bravery award from the team at Croft Vets.

Mass is a hard-working farm dog who spends his days running next to his owners quad bike herding sheep. During January whilst his owner was out he injured his paw. The team at our branch in Sheffield  saw him straight away, he was quickly was given pain relief and then an anaesthetic so they could assess the extent of his wounds.

Jemma our nurse cleaned and clipped all his fur and the team were surprised by how bad they were. Olivia our vet called a specialist as Mass may have needed to have had his leg amputated.Instead, a few stitches were placed and the nurses bandaged him up, because Mass loves to work and wouldn’t be able to on three legs.

Over the next few weeks Mass was a regular visitor and received many bandage changes (often with an extra special love heart too!).

Throughout his time with Croft Vet,  Mass has never grumbled or growled, he has been so patient and always greeted the team with a waggy tail.

This week we saw Mass and were able to sign off his treatment, his leg has nearly completely healed! We hope that in a few weeks he might be able to return to his favourite activity, helping his dad with herding the flock again.

We look forward to welcoming you and your pets
